Reading: Students are practicing their high frequency sight words (above, bear, studied, surprise, even, pushed, toward, teacher). They are also working on comparing and contrasting story elements.
Phonics: Students are working with words ending in -ed and -ing. Their phonics words for the week are mix, mixed, hop, hopped, hope, hoping, run, running, use, used.
Math: Students are working on measurement in length and height.
Writing/ Grammar: Students are working on identifying exclamatory sentences.
Social Studies: Students are learning about freedom in Philadelphia.
